The Short Version
We fix and replace garage doors, torsion and extension springs, openers, cables, rollers, and tracks
Most of the houses we work on here were built between 1988 and 2013, with a median year of 1994, so a lot of what shows up on the truck is original hardware from the 1980s and 90s spread across six different built-out pockets of town, each with its own builder habits and door brands. That spread matters because a torsion spring sized for a 1990s single-car door isn't the same part as what went into a house built in 2010, and guessing wrong wastes a trip.
The area sits in a mild climate with occasional freezes
Which is easier on doors than true winter country, but a surprise freeze still stiffens lift cables and can crack an old bottom bracket that's been sitting fine for years. We don't carry every discontinued panel style on the truck - if your door is an exact match to a builder run from the early 90s, finding the matching panel can take a few days to order rather than same-visit. We'd rather tell you that up front than pretend otherwise. Most of what we see is spring replacement, opener failure, and track or roller wear tied to the age of the stock here.
The Areas We Cover
We work from Bluffton out to the communities around it. Palmetto Bluff is about 2 miles southeast of us is roughly 3 miles north-northwest - both close enough that a same-day call is realistic.
Further out, we reach Hardeeville at about 9 miles at about 9 miles north-northwest at about 10 miles northeast, Shell Point at about 15 miles, Port Royal at about 17 miles, Ridgeland and Burton at about 18 miles each, and Laurel Bay at about 19 miles. With roughly 15,782 households in the service area and about 5,108 owner-occupied houses, there's a real spread of ages and door types out there, not just one subdivision's worth of hardware. If you're not sure whether your address falls inside that range, call and ask before you assume either way.
How to Reach Us
Our shop is at 27 Towne Dr, Bluffton, SC 29910. Call us at 1-843-466-6223 to set up a repair or ask a question about what's wrong with your door before you book anything. If you can tell us whether the door won't open, won't close, is making noise, or came off track, that helps us bring the right parts the first time instead of a second trip.
We don't do walk-in drop-offs the way an auto shop might - garage doors are a job we come to you for, so the phone call is the starting point. With a median household income of about $68,085 in the area, we try to give a straight answer on whether a repair is worth doing or whether the door's old enough that replacement is the better money, rather than running up a bill on a door that's on its way out anyway.
